currently reading: out this Tuesday is Next-Door Nemesis. The newest rom com from Alexa Martin, and it’s amazing. A disgraced writer returns home to Ohio from L.A. to find out that the boy who had been her best friend and then ghosted her to be popular is the head of the HOA. But when the HOA comes for her father’s garden. it’s all out war as they run against each other for HOA president. This one is fun and funny, written with the kind of smooth skill that makes times just slip by as you spend time in its world. You’ll definitely want to keep this one in mind on your next trip to the bookstore or for your holiday gift list.
Also out this week is the new Cleo Coyle Coffeehouse Mystery, Bulletproof Barista. And another one I’ve got me eye on is a new cookbook from OG Nancy Silverton, The Cookie That Changed My Life. Sadly I was not able to score an early copy of it, but it’s at the top of all my holiday lists, and I think fellow bakers would want to know this one is hitting stores this week.
up next: I will be working on catching up on some books I’ve missed this year, and then December 5 is a huge week for new releases, so stay tuned and get ready for cozy winter reading.
