currently reading: out this week is People to Follow, where 10 influencers go to a remote island to record a reality show. As they arrive and get off the boats, they realize just how many of them are enemies, or exes, or just filled with resentment. I have only dipped my toes in, but I an already tell that this will be so much fun! I’m also reading Spoon To Be Dead, the new Shake Shop mystery from Dana Mentink. I love these mysteries, but they do make me hungry. The main character, Trinidad Jones, puts together what she calls Freakshakes, which are milkshakes topped with cookies, brownies, cakes, all sorts of amazing confections. In this one, her ex-husband shows back up (paroled early) and has maybe hit a local man with his car. She’ll have to team up with his other two ex-wives in order to figure out what has happened and how to protect them all from Gabe’s shenanigans. All while trying to figure out how to keep an ice cream shop from going under in winter.

up next: I wish I knew. The last few weeks have left me a little discombobulated, so it will take me a week or so to try to figure out where I am in my reading list (here’s a hint: behind). I’m gonna reset my brain and see what I can get done this week. I am hoping for a quiet winter, where I can hunker down on the sofa and read until spring.
