currently reading: I have started on Beneath the Stairs, which comes out Tuesday. It’s an amazing creepy haunted house mystery. Two young teen friends had gone into this house, and now as adults, one of them had gone back into the house and attempted suicide. Now the other woman is back in town to try to figure out what happened. Why had her friend gone back to the house after all this time? It’s so good! And If I were feeling better (bronchitis/sinus infection—blech), I’d probably have read the whole thing this week. Also out this week is the crazy modern haiku book Eating Salad Drunk. And I've started listening to Sue Grafton’s A Is for Alibi. I have been wanting to reread the entire series for several months, and I finally decided to use audio books to do it. I think this will be a tough week, so I’m looking forward to some Kinsey to help me through.
up next: there are a lot of good books coming out in the next few weeks, and one of the ones I’m super excited about is the new novel from Brad Meltzer, The Lightning Rod. It’s his follow-up to The Escape Artist (which I have but haven’t read yet—my next audio book, maybe?), and I am so looking forward to it!
