just finished: nothing. It was such a week last week!
currently reading: Eight Perfect Hours, a rom com about a woman trying desperately to get home when a snowstorm causes a standstill on the highway. Her cell phone dies, and her charger won’t work, so she’s stick there in her car, with nothing to do and no cell phone to call and check on her mother. The guy in the car next to hers notices her frustration with her phone and offers his warm car and phone charger to help out. She agrees, just so she can charge her phone and call her mother, who worries a lot. But the universe has other plans. I’m also listening to Fourth Comings, the fourth in the Jessica Darling series and getting ready to listen to the latest Jenn McKinlay cozy. We’re rolling in to our busy time at work, so I think I’ll be listening to more audio books over the next several weeks.
up next: I have a lot of cleaning up to do on books that came out in 2021. This year was more challenging than I expected, and a lot of titles I wanted to get to slipped through my fingers. I need to go backwards and read more of them before we hit January. For the moment, I don’t have a lot of specific plans, just trying to get through the rest of the year strong despite work drama and holiday chaos. But I will say that this book came out not too long ago, and you know I’m wanting to get my hands on it!
