just finished: The Math Kids: An Incorrect Solution. It’s a kids’ mystery with lots of math, so it’s fun and clever. I was really impressed with it.
currently reading: In My Dreams I Hold a Knife, a thriller about a woman returning to her college Homecoming as a success. But she and her friends are forced to face the death of one of their friends as they relive their college days. I cannot wait to find out what all the friends’ secrets are! I’m also reading another kids’ book, How To Train Your Dad about a boy who finds a book on training puppies and decides to try it on his father, who has some unusual ideas on how to live. I’ve really just started this short book, so I don’t have much to say yet, but I think it will be lots of fun. I’ve also been listening to First Love, Take Two, about a young doctor who is needing a place to stay for a short time, until she finds out where she will be working after her residency. And one of her best friends has a furnished apartment that is sitting empty for a while. The only catch is that Preeti will be living in the same apartment as her ex-boyfriend. And while she is almost engaged to someone else, her heart still wants Daniel. I think it will be really engaging to listen to this week.
up next: for my birthday, my boyfriend got me a book written by one of our favorite podcast hosts, Lara Bricker of Crime Writers On. I actually started reading this, and it’s as ideal a cozy as it can be so far. I look forward to the rest of this one and the Exeter mysteries yet to come!.
