recently finished: Alafair Burke’s The Wife. It’s chilling. And I finished The Floating Feldmans, which doesn’t come out until July 23.
currently reading: I just started Anthony Horowitz’s The Word is Murder, and I am hooked! I also just started Kerry Winfrey’s Waiting for Tom Hanks. I’m just a few chapters in, and it feels exactly like watching a rom-com. It’s fun and cheerful and a delightful beach read (or it would be, if I had a beach). It’s also a delightful sofa read, and a delightful break room read, for those who live in Kansas and read on our lunch hour at work. I’ve also started Sally Hepworth’s The Family Next Door, which reminds me of Big Little Lies, in other words: I’m enjoying it a lot.
up next: Evvie Drake Starts Over, a book I’ve been lusting over since I heard Linda Holmes say on NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour that she has written a novel. It comes out later this month, so it’s go time! I am excited!
