recently finished: Reputation by Sara Shepherd. I said last week I was struggling with this one, as there is just so much going on in it. She does a good job of bringing it together at the end, but this novel is dense with plot and with twists. It’s good, but it’s dense. I also finished Bird Brain, a book of pigeon comics about mental illness. It’s good but also heartbreakingly honest. I think it would be a perfect read for someone who has never felt the power of mental illness to see a little of what it’s like to struggle with depression and anxiety.
currently reading: Still reading Adorkable, which is still adorable. And I’m getting close to wrapping up A Time of Love and Tartan. I will miss it, as it’s such a heartwarming novel to listen to in traffic at this time of year.
up next: Love Lettering, a gentle novel about a woman who does hand lettering for special occasions (like weddings). I got to read an excerpt of it a while ago, and it was amazing. After that, the January releases come hot and heavy, so I am looking forward to a long Christmas weekend with lots of reading time!
