recently finished: Presumed Innocent on audio. I remembered the ending (who does it), but I couldn't remember the timing of all the things falling into place. And more importantly, it's just a fantastic book. It's totally worth reading (or listening to) again.
currently reading: George Noory's memoir that comes out Tuesday. It's called Mad as Hell, and it starts out as a big of a downer (not a huge surprise for anyone who watches the news or reads papers or notices anything going on outside the front door), but I am hoping for more encouraging words later in the book. I also just started Fitness Junkie, which comes out next month. It's written by the same pair who skewered fashion magazines in The Knockoff. I adored The Knockoff, and as soon as I heard that these two amazing women had teamed up for another novel, I knew I had to read it. It comes out July 11, which is a huge week for books. Also out that week is a fantastic novel about the secrets that family members keep call Watch Me Disappear and my favorite book so far this year, Edgar Cantero's Meddling Kids. Get ready to head to your bookstore that week to stock up on summer reading!
up next: I honestly don't know. Amazon has had some great deals on ebooks lately, and my phone is running out of memory because of all the good books I have to read. But I do know one for sure: The Break Down by B.A. Paris. This one is also coming out next month, and it should be good and creepy. It's by the author of last year's hit Behind Closed Doors, and I can't wait to dive in.
By the way, if you're an ebook reader, check out Amazon's daily deals this summer. There have been some amazing books at fantastic prices. You can fill your ereader or phone up with good books and good deals in no time at all!
