recently finished: My postal book club book. Barely. I had some trouble getting into it. But I'm glad I reread it. It's been awhile since I read it the first time, and it gave me lots to think about. Don't you just love books like that? And Sherlock Sam's 3rd book, which was so endearing! More about that one tomorrow.

currently reading: Marcia Clark's Samantha Brinkman books. They are fascinating! And the Marx Brothers book, Four of the Three Musketeers (also fascinating, but super-long! so detailed! so amazing!). And some self-help type books that I grabbed when I realized how badly my anxiety was spinning me. (It's better, but I'm going to finish these books, for next time.)

up next: Still looking forward to Camille Perri's The Assistants. From what I understand, it's like The Knockoff (which I loved! see more here), but the older employees are the ones not paying attention and the younger ones (i.e. the assistants) are the ones cleverly making things happen for themselves. Did I mention that loved, loved, loved The Knockoff? And I can't wait to read The Assistants. Also up soon is Williams Daniels' memoir, which is coming out March 1. Watch Knight Rider? St. Elsewhere? Boy Meets World? Even if you haven't seen (or heard) him in those (I say "heard" because he was the voice of the car Kitt in Knight Rider), you've probably seen him in something, or lots of things. A strong character actor since the 1950s, he's been a staple on screens for decades. And even better in my opinion, his story, There I Go Again, is being published by the University of Nebraska Press. Go Huskers!

also exciting: tonight is the first episode of HBO's miniseries Big Little Lies. The book was wonderful, and I can't wait to see how this series takes Liane Moriarty's book and brings it to life. #ilovebooks
