i'm awkward too! we should get coffee.
Some writers are awkward, and they figure out how to use that in their art. To wit, The New Yorker talked to Sloane Crosley and Curtis Sittenfeld about this very topic, especially since they make such phenomenal art. You can read the full article here, and then read Sloane Crosley's latest book of essays Look Alive Out There and Curtis Sittenfeld's recent You Think It, I'll Say It: Stories, which Reese Witherspoon has been endorsing like crazy lately.
I'd say more about these amazing writers, but they're still sitting on my TBR. Maybe later this year? I hope so, especially because of all the great things I keep hearing about them.
