just finished: I just finished the new thriller from DJ Palmer, who wrote Saving Meghan. The new one is The New Husband, and it’s kind of intense. I also finished Jack Kerouac Is Dead to Me, a coming of age story about a teenager who raises butterflies and struggles with issues in her family. It was a little heartbreaking, but it was also beautiful.

currently reading: I’m still reading Good Boy, the memoir told in dogs. And I’m about halfway through Pumpkin Spice Peril, the latest in Jenn McKinley’s Cupcake Bakery Mystery series (#12!!). It’s a pretty typical cozy set in a cupcake bakery, but when the world feels like it’s about to spin off its axle, sometimes it’s good to go with a formulaic story that you know will be well written.
