just finished: nothing new. I was going to try to get a bunch of reading done this weekend, but the weather got the best of me and my sinuses. It was in the 80s one day this week and in the 40s the next, and that kind of big swing just wrecks me. So for now I’m just breathing and taking it easy and perusing cookbooks.
currently reading: cookbooks. Did I mention that already? I’m also listening the audio book All Stirred Up. It’s a rom com set in a restaurant in Edinburgh, so I am loving it! Susan Napier is forced to take over her late grandfather’s restaurant business, having to close all but his first restaurant. And there, she has to learn to get along with the executive chef while they revamp the menu and redecorate the front of house or find a new head chef. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend, who got his first restaurant job working for her grandfather before going off to Hollywood to become a food tv star, is back in Edinburgh to open his first restaurant. It’s a rom com, so you already know the ending, but I’m having so much fun on this journey!
up next: Heading to Ireland for the latest Carlene O’Connor, Murder at at Irish Christmas. Siobhan and her family are back to celebrate the holidays and solve crime. I love these Irish Village mysteries, and I can’t wait for a chance to head back there for a quick Christmas vacation.
