recently finished: Magpie Murders, which I adored. And Jo Baker’s The Body Lies. It’s not out until June 18, but I highly and strongly recommend this one for anyone a little tired of typical thrillers. I thought it was really amazing, and it takes a good, long look at that trope of the naked girl, victim of the killer. Brilliant! I have not yet read her Longbourn, but I am reminded that I need to get that one in my mix when I can. And You’ve Been Volunteered, out July 23, is a sweet, hilarious, wonderful book that I will be encouraging everyone to get later this summer!

currently reading: Christina Lauren’s The Unhoneymooners, which is a big fun rom-com! I’m only about a third of the way in so far, but I am having lots of fun with it. I only hope it shows up as a movie one day! I’m also reading Behind the Lies, a twisty psychological family thriller about a woman who wakes up from a coma after a car accident with no memory of who she is or what happened. There is a dark creepiness, and I can’t wait until all the pieces fall into place.

up next: I’m not sure. There are so many amazing books coming out this summer, I’m not sure where to turn next!
