snapshot 4.29
just finished: Lol! I just looked at last week's snapshot to see what I wrote, and I was excited about what a good week it was going to be. It wasn't. Between my dry eyes, my allergies, my allergy meds, and some random stresses, I got very little reading done. Instead I was grumpy and frustrated, and I just feel further behind. Anyway, I am almost finished with Julian Barnes' The Only Story (only about 50 pages left, and that's what I'm doing next), so I'm counting it.
currently reading: I just started The Performance Cortex, which sounds so interesting. It's about the neuroscience of movement, particularly in sports. I am really looking forward to digging into this book. I also just started Alice Feeney's Sometimes I Lie, and I think it's going to be an amazing ride. And I'm still reading Buttermilk Graffiti. Edward Lee is almost as much of a writer as he is a cook, so I am savoring each and every story. I highly recommend that everyone picks this book up.
up next: Out this Tuesday, Failure Is an Option by H. Jon Benjamin. Benjamin is the voice of Archer and Bob from Bob's Burgers (I want to be Louise when I grow up, bunny hat and all!), and I've already ordered the audiobook from Audible. Now I just have to wait until Tuesday to get my download and listen to Bob talk about life for almost 5 hours. That will be awesome! I can't wait!
