I am trying to get back to this, I promise! I finally got past the cold, but the upper respiratory infection persists. So I've had some time to read, but when I try to blog, the best I can come up is something along the line of: Book. Good. So I've been quiet. But I'm also behind on all the awesome books I want to talk about, so I'm going to do my best to get some real words together this week.
recently finished: Krysten Ritter's Bonfire. I first noticed her on Don't Trust the B----- in Apartment 23. It wasn't a great show, partly because of her. She was so luminous in the role that the other lead actress got a little lost, and she was supposed to the be the star. It was an interesting concept, just out of balance. Anyway, now she's in Netflix's Jessica Jones, and she's just published a novel that is absolutely fantastic.
currently reading: The new Jack Reacher, The Midnight Line. It's my first Jack Reacher novel, and what is wrong with me for waiting so long? Lee Child's writing is magnetic, and if you've stubbornly resisted like me, this is the time to stop. Stop waiting, and read Jack Reacher. Read the new one, read from the beginning, it doesn't matter. Just read Lee Child.
up next: The new Andy Weir, Artemis, which hits stores this week. I loved just about everything about The Martian, and I can't wait to dive in to Artemis.
Take your vitamins, my friends. Get your rest. Because you don't want to be getting sick like this. Take care of yourselves, and read good books!
